Fox renews King of the Hill

Propane rules! Fox has renewed King of the Hill for a 13th season. The down home hilarity of Hank and Peggy Hill, their son Bobby and dog Lady Bird, will continue for another year, likely remaining in Fox’s strong Sunday night animation lineup that includes The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad — although that’s only speculation on my part.

Creators Mike Judge (the voice of Hank and Boomhauer) and Greg Daniels (The Office) will continue at the helm, and all the usual characters remain. That means more of Kathy Najimy as Peggy, Brittany Murphy as Luanne, Pamela Adlon as Bobby, Johnny Hardwick as Dale, and Stephen Root as Bill.

ER - Upcoming Episodes

ER will be returning April 10 with all new episodes! I have the upcoming episodes titles and some spoilers. This is to go along with the news- in case you missed it- that ER was picked up for a final- yes this will be the 15th and final season! The producers and network are promising some old favorites will be returning and some new stars joining the show to bring us a really great final season. I will post more news as it becomes available on season 15. One thing- we have been told by NBC at their upfronts that the new season which will be a full 22 episodes will run without repeats starting in the fall. I really enjoyed the episode earlier this winter with the return of Jeanie Brulet played by Gloria Rubens. I was watching some of my season 1 dvds of Friends last night and reminiscing for the good old 90s Thursdays on NBC.

Kovac, Abby and the baby are still in Croatia. They’ve emailed a picture and Neela is not so sure that they are happy. Morris, Neela and Harold work on 41-year-old Sheryl McCormack who was involved in a car accident that sent her SUV rolling a few times. Gates and a paramedic are in an arcade to help out someone named Hank. Frank, Pratt, Jarvik, Dubenko, and Sam also appear.

14.15 The Cure for a Broken Heart

Dr. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) and Dr. Brenner (guest star David Lyons) get off to a rocky start when Brenner refuses to teach the interns. Gates (John Stamos) treats a young transplant patient with major heart trouble. Abby (Maura Tierney) contemplates telling Kovac (Goran Visnjic) the truth about her affair as she heads for Croatia. Meanwhile, Sam (Linda Cardellini) finds out that Gates and Julia (guest star Reiko Aylesworth) have broken up. Parminder Nagra and Scott Grimes also star.

PULLING AN ALL-NIGHTER IN THE ER- AIDA TUTURRO (”The Sopranos”) GUEST STARS– Neela (Parminder Nagra) has a strange daydream during work after she pulls an all-night shift. Sarah’s (guest star Chloe Greenfield) grandfather (guest star Bill Bolender) is rushed to the ER after collapsing during a game of air hockey. Gates (John Stamos) tries to let Sam (Linda Cardellini) know that he is serious by sending her flowers. Neela makes a quick decision about a patient with torn aorta (guest star Aida Tuturro). Mekhi Phifer and Scott Grimes also star.

April 3, 2008 - In what is possibly the sharpest casting of the year, Universal has reportedly offered the role of Thomas Magnum to Matthew McConaughey for their planned big-screen version of Magnum P.I.McConaughey has been rumored for the role since early last year, but Entertainment Weekly is now reporting that the studio has actually made an offer.

McConaughey may not be a dead ringer for Tom Selleck, but he seems like a great choice for the role. He has enough cred with male audiences to make it work, and of course his hunky charmer status with the ladies wouldn’t hurt the film’s box office take.

EW sources say that McConaughey is reading the script by writer-director Rawson Thurber (Dodgeball) before he makes up his mind.

The film, which is based on the 1980s TV series that starred Selleck in the lead role, is not planned as a spoof, but will have a vibe similar to the original show, mixing humor and danger elements. The story line apparently has Magnum searching for a missing buddy with the help of his former military pals.
