The former “Charmed” ones were friends before they worked on the hit series together- it is good to see that friendship is still intact more than a decade since Holly and Shannen first worked together on the WB series Charmed. John Stamos has reportedly rejected an offer to star in an ER spinoff.
The actor, who has played paramedic-turned-intern Tony Gates since 2006, said he did not want the commitment of his own show.
NBC and Warner Brothers are believed to have approached him to ascertain his feelings about a new project.
An insider told the New York Daily News: “Stamos wasn’t having it. He’s not interested in being locked into a contract right now. He’s got other options open.”
ER is to return for one final season, it has been confirmed.
The long-running medical drama will bow out in February 2009 after 15 years on the air. The last season will run to 19 episodes.
“ER is one of the greatest shows of all time and we can’t wait to deliver to the audience the fantastic stories the series is known for,” said Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment. “We will introduce new characters to the great ensemble.”

THE DEATH OF AN AVID GAMBLER PUTS DETECTIVE ED GREEN’S (JESSE L. MARTIN) BADGE IN JEOPARDY FORCING HIM TO REVEAL HIS TROUBLED PAST. INTERNAL AFFAIRS DETECTIVE KEVIN BERNARD (ANTHONY ANDERSON) IS ASSIGNED TO THE CASE.
A part-time referee is found murdered, and Detectives Ed Green (Martin) and Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) investigate the victim’s gambling habits. The detectives are led to notorious hustler, “”Bunny” (guest star Bobby Jones), a familiar face from Detective Green’s past. When ““Bunny” is found dead, Detective Lupo is called to the scene and discovers his partner, Detective Green, is the shooter causing confusion in the department and disbelief in the DA’s office. The case is turned over to internal affairs Detective Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) and Sergeant Gregory Cole (guest star Peter Bradbury), leaving Detective Green to face his dark past and in danger of losing his badge. Sam Waterston, S. Epatha Merkerson, Linus Roache and Alana De La Garza also star.
